PCI Data Security Assessment (Audit)The Security Assessment (often called a Security Audit or PCI Audit) is the required procedure that is performed by an independent QSA. If you are required to have this assessment you will have been notified by your Acquiring Bank or your Card Brand. The Security Assessment process is very similar to the Gap Analysis but it is the official assessment. When the Audit is complete the QSA will produce the final report. At the direction of the client, the QSA will submit the final report to the Acquiring Bank or Card Brand and the PCI Security Standards Council.
